Outfits You NEED This Party Season!

Hello everyone, welcome to the first Blogmas post! I can’t figure out if I’m completely and utterly mad for attempting Blogmas this year, alongside being on a full time uni course and attempting to upload to my YouTube channel 3 times a week throughout December. Have I bitten off more than I can chew? probs. But here we are, send me all the motivational vibes because I’m definitely going to need them this month!

I’m going straight in with the festive content – I was going to do an introductory post, but screw it. I want to get on with the festivities from the start. Going in right at the deep end with some of my favourite fashion party season picks.

Christmas is without a doubt my favourite time of the year, not only because of how upbeat everyone is, even doctors receptionists are a bit more jolly! Who’d have ever thought that was possible. But alongside this, glitter is more acceptable than ever. Throughout December I’ll be reaching for the most glitzy fashion garments I own, and taking full advantage of being so covered in glitter, you could probably see me from outer space!

I’ve been gawping at so many party season outfits this year, I think the high-street stores have definitely upped their game, so without further ado..here are some of my favourite Christmas party appropriate garments!

Right so ever since watching Bohemian Rhapsody last month (which if you haven’t seen, you’re missing out), I have been obsessed with flares; flares were a very 70’s thing, and I have seen so many around this season – I am so here for this trend. When I saw these VELVET, yes velvet, flares, I was all over them!

Midi skirts are a garment that I don’t think will ever go out of fashion, also super easy to style whether it be chucking on some heels for drinks with the girls or paring it with some trendy trainers for a day of shopping; they are incredibly versatile. Add a bit of glitter, and you’ve got the perfect skirt for work Christmas parties! This one from Topshop is gorgeous, the colours are so festive!

I’m a lover of jumpsuits at the best of times, granted I’ve never had the balls to buy one and wear one out – thats besides the point. There are so many snazzy jumpsuits around at the moment, perfect for a classy option for a New Years or Christmas party! This one from ASOS has a lovely feminine cut, with an open back adding a nice touch.

Lets get cracking with some of the more glitzy stuff. Obviously, the festive period is an excuse to go OTT with the glitter and sequins – therefore it will be no surprise I spent far too long scouring the internet for the most glitzy garments I could find. We’ll start with this silver sequin dress from Miss Selfridge – a very simple and plain dress, but this silver fabric is giving me all the party vibes!

Now, this may be my fav thing that I have so far came across, and I’m in 2 minds as to whether it’s too extra for a New Years dress, but then again, is there such a thing?? This dreamy dress from PLT will be sure to turn heads, it’s also so affordable, whats not to like! A lovely tight fit, you’ll defiantly be catching peoples eyes all night!

I say this every fashion post, but it wouldn’t be complete without a red garment, so in true Han style, I’ve found the most perfect Christmas party dress. Tight fitting, red, glitter, sequins, need I say no more? Again really affordable, but it definitely looks more expensive!

Lastly, we’ll finish off with another velvet garment – velvet seems to be everywhere this party season, I’m loving it! I saw this green velvet dress, and knew right away it had to be added onto here! Such a beautiful colour, the cut out at the front also adds a really lovely feminine touch to the dress – very figure flattering!

The party season is always my favourite to shop for and I have to have the self restraint of an absolute saint to not go OTT and buy everything in sight! What was your favourite garment?

All my love,

Han xx

Autumn Wishlist

I hold my hands up to it, I am a major shopaholic, I own more winter boots that I care to admit, coats for that matter also. But with autumn well and truly underway, surely thats an excuse to do some more shopping, right?

This autumn I have already been crushing on some incredibly beautiful pieces, I’m in awe of the colour scheme that most of the shops have opted for. Mustard, burgundy, and burnt oranges, are the colours that I currently drawing me in; I’m sure when autumn comes to an end, my wardrobe will be bursting with garments fitting in with this colour scheme.

  1. Superdry Puffle Jacket

This is something very adventurous for me, as I tend to stick to quite smart, slim fitting duster coats during winter, but when I recently saw this in Superdry, I fell in love with it. Not only is it in one of my favourite colours, but it also looks super warm, perfect if you live in the UK!

2. Vans

Now, I know winter is the prime time for cute boots, but I have enough of them, my bank account really doesn’t need the burden of another pair of Doc Martens. I recently found out that Vans do a slip on shoe?! Apparently I’m the only one who didn’t know this, but I’ve fallen in love with the all black sliders – also think they would go really well with the puffle jacket!

3. Faux Fur Coat

Another coat, I know, I’m sorry, but its an addiction that can’t be tamed. I never really had a thing for faux fur coats, that was until I saw this little number hanging up in New Look. Unlike some faux fur coats this one looks quite stylish, also in a very versatile colour.

4. Embroidered Checkered Shirt

Checkered shirts are so easy to layer up with during winter; what drew me into this one was the bottle green colour scheme, and also the lovely embroidered detail. I’m sure you’re all aware of the whole embroidery trend, and I won’t lie I was reluctant to jump on the bandwagon, but I’ve finally accepted it. This shirt adds the perfect girly touch to something sometimes seen as slightly manly.

5. Velvet Burgundy Skirt

Velvet and burgundy, need I say no more? Perfect for the festive period, especially work christmas parties, or even just day trips out. Pairing it with either a nice blouse for a christmas party, or a high neck and a pair of docs for general day to day wear.

6. Embroidered Mesh Shirt

For what feels live forever now, I have been looking for the perfect mesh shirt, every one that I have come across has always looked rather tacky, but when I saw this one, I was SO excited! Not only does it have an element of class to it, but it also looks as if you have really made an effort with your outfit, but in reality you haven’t. Also paired with the burgundy skirt; now that would be a perfect autumnal outfit!

I’m sure you can expect another seasonal wishlist soon, as there are SO many lovely pieces flooding the shops at the moment. I do need to have some self restraint though, fellow university students will be able to relate, but my budget doesn’t cover the my shopping addiction!

I hope to see you all in my next post!

All my love,
