Tips For A More Eco-Friendly Christmas

As much as Christmas is the time for giving, relaxing, and most importantly eating lots of good food, I think we can all agree on the fact that it isn’t the most environmentally cautious time of the year. December is the time of the year where the most pressure is put on the environment with CO2 emissions increasing dramatically during this period. Being more environmentally aware around the festive period is something we should all be considering, but don’t worry, it doesn’t take away from any of the fun or festivities!

Christmas13

1. Artificial Trees

Here’s an astonishing fact, it is estimated that around 6 million Christmas trees are sent to landfill every year in the UK alone. If you don’t want to miss out on having a real tree make sure you opt for one that has been sustainably grown and in a way that hasn’t damaged the environment. Unfortunately artificial trees aren’t much better either, seeing as they are made from plastic. However, if you have an artificial tree continue to use it until it’s seen better days, then when replacing consider possibly investing in a pre-loved tree, much better for the environment!

2. Cut Down On TV

Here’s another fun fact, wow I’m full of them today. It is estimated that the average person watches up to 30 hours a week of telly throughout the festive period. Thats a lot of energy needed to power all these tellies and watch hours. I for one, know that during the Christmas period I watch so much more telly, therefore this year, I’ll be making a more conscious effort to cut down on my own watch time.

3. Eco Friendly Gifts

When shopping for loved ones, consider buying environmentally friendly gifts, or even shop for gifts with less packaging. Whenever Christmas rolls round again, once my brothers and I are done with the present opening, there is always so much left over waste, mainly unnecessary  plastic packaging. When shopping for gifts, try to opt for the option that has less packaging, resulting in less waste.

4. Recyclable Wrapping Paper

This is something we can all be doing and theres no excuse not to! I didn’t know this until recently, but most wrapping paper can’t actually be recycled, which is why this year I am opting for brown parcel paper. This can all be put straight into the recycling – it’s such an easy step to take into having a more eco-friendly Christmas. You don’t just have to get plain brown parcel paper either, I know Waitrose have a selection of recyclable papers on offer at the moment. Budget friendly too.

5. Cut Down On Meat Consumption

This is one that has been drilled into us all over the past year or so, that cutting meat consumption is a m must when it comes to being more environmentally aware. Also a lot tastier. I’m not saying you need to cut out mean completely from your Christmas, as I know that isn’t always possible, but replace a couple of the meat options with a vegetarian alternative, you never know, you might be surprised! Not only this, but if you are consuming meat, make sure it is organic meat,  the benefits of that are fairly self explanatory.

Christmas10

6. Cut Down On Food Waste

My Dad normally cooks for 11 on Christmas Day, so you can imagine how much food that produces. You can also imagine how much waste it produces. My family are brilliant at reducing our food waste. Most of the veg, and potatoes from Christmas Day will be saved for bubble and squeak on Boxing Day, with left over turkey of course. Buying a turkey for 15 people will always leave us with loads, so we use the left overs for sandwiches, risottos and even curry. There are so many recipes out there that will get you using up all of your left overs resulting in a lot less food waste!

I’d like to think of myself as very environmentally aware, I’ve always had an interest in the environment and think that we can all be doing so much more to help reduce the impact we are having day to day on our planet, considering how easy it is to do so as well!

What are your tips for a more environmentally friendly Christmas?!

ASOS Must Have Accessories For The Party Season

ASOS Must Have Accessories For The Party Season

Accessories are the part of the outfit that can really make or break a look. The right additions can perfectly complement any part of the outfit, pulling the whole look together. If you’re shy of statement, you can pull it back with simple accessories, however, if you’re willing to make a statement, go bold. With the party season being well a truly under way, I’ve scoured the ASOS accessories page and complied a list of all my must haves for this season. From belts, to shoes, these select accessories are ones you are not going to want to miss this Christmas – they are guaranteed to give any outfit that little boost it may be in need of.

1. Belts

Granted, belts have the ability to transform a simple pair of jeans throughout any time of the year, however instead of adding them to jeans this festive season why not add them to a shirt dress, clinching the dress in at the waist and adding a much more feminine look. I’ve been obsessed with the Gucci belts (you know the ones), but there’s no way you would ever catch me spending that amount of money on a belt. Pretty much every high street store currently has your back though with an endless supply of dupes. ASOS have a bit more of a glitzy one to add that extra sparkle to your festive outfit choices.

2. Bags

A woman can never have too many bags. They have they ability to take any outfit to new heights, whether it be a compact clutch or a stylish mini backpack, they lend themselves well, not only for convenience, but lets face it, bags are never going to go out of trends, so you can’t really go wrong! If again you don’t have the budget to invest in a high end designer hand bag this year, there are so many other options. I was particularly interested in this ASOS Gold Cage Bag, I’ve never really seen anything like it before, but it is a beg that will definitely have people talking.

3. Jewellery

From necklaces to earrings, jewellery is an essential in my eyes for any outfit. They are perfect for any occasion, this year has seen the return of some major statement tassel earrings, so you will have no problem seeking out a pair that suits your taste. However, if tassels aren’t you’re thing, theres always an array of elegant studs, to add some class to an outfit, it’s a effortless touch.

4. Shoes

Much like bags, you can never have too many shoes, am I right ladies. Whether it be a quality pair of flats, or a pair of eye-catching stilettos, you’ll be spoilt for choice this party season. Shoes are an accessory, that in themselves can be dressed up or down, depending on the event in hand. If opting for flats, remember they don’t have to be boring, add a bit of sparkle, and instantly our outfit is work Christmas party ready. If you’re slightly braver (or can walk in heels(I can’t)), then again the selection this season is never ending. I love this simple pair of nude heels with the diamond straps, adding a touch of elegance, but a garment that isn’t too in your face, nor would it distract from your showstopper of a party outfit!

(Nude Diamante Heels)

I always used to over look accessories, that was until I started to put more thought into my outfit. I quickly came to the realisation, they are an essential in completing an outfit!

What is your go to accessory?!

Skin Deep

Today we’re taking a step back from the festivities of Blogmas and talking about beauty standards within today’s society. A slightly heavier topic, one that I’ve been inspired to write about form my new university project brief. Now, I know what you’re thinking, ‘but Han, you’re getting a degree in fashion’, believe it or not, it’s slightly deeper than that. Having to come up with interesting project concepts, like this, is what gets the ball rolling in the design process.

To give you a brief overview of my project concept, we’ll start with the fact that it’s an industry brief (so the more love on this post, the better), with Rural Hideaway and Nomadic Travel being the 2 titles to chose from, I’ve opted for the latter. Initially exploring Nomadic tribes, their way of living – this later led me onto their process of scarification. A ritual that represents beauty, strength and power. This got me thinking, how, in Western society do we modify our bodies – enhancing beauty or representing strength? Tattoos, piercings, plastic surgery, make up? Where has the global obsession with vanity derived from? And, why does the society we live in have an idea of what ‘beauty’ is, yet if you don’t fit within these boundaries, you’re no longer deemed beautiful?

We’re all somewhat concerned with the way we look, if you’re sat reading this, denying that, you’re lying to yourself. There’s nothing wrong with looking in the mirror, accepting yourself, whether that be your flaws or the things about yourself you love. In fact, this is something we should all do. That’s not vanity, vanity is when you take it a step up, you take excessive pride in the way you look, you think you’re one cut above everyone else. However, we are now living in a society where people (myself included) are becoming more and more obsessed with the way we look. Hoping to conform to society’s standards of ‘perfect‘. Is there such a thing though? I think me and you both know the answer to that. No. No one is perfect. Not even the beautiful models you see pop up on your Instagram explore page – I know along with many others I aimlessly scroll through Instagram looking at these incredible models, wondering why don’t I look like that? In reality, the models don’t even look like that. We live in a world where photo-editing and body enhancement/modification, is as easy as a few clicks on Photoshop.

I began to look into the dictionary definition of ‘Perfect‘, there were a few that popped up, the one sticking out most to me “Excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement”. Now, you find me one thing in the world, that has no fault. You can’t, can you? Imperfections, are the beauty that we see, it’s what makes us stand out. Giving us an identity. Why would you want to be a carbon copy of that Instagram model? Surely that would be boring? So then why have we become so obsessed with being ‘beautiful’ and being ‘perfect’? We have the media to thank for that. For decades, media has drilled into us, what this idea of beauty is. An idea that is constantly changing and constantly evolving. 1400-1700, the look of being full, having a rounded stomach was  IN. You wanted to look healthy, it was a sign on wealth. 1920’s, an androgynous look was most desirable; small boobs, and a straight up and down figure. 1950’s, hourglass figures are the the ones all women are trying to conform to, and one that men are lusting over too. Marilyn Monroe’s curvaceous figure is one that all women wanted. It’s what was thought to be sexy. Mid 90’s – 2000’s, big boobs, flat stomachs and thigh gaps. The coming age of the Victoria Secret model, tall, thin and with a full chest. Fast forward to now, 2010-2018. Big butts, wide hips and tiny waists. In the era of the Kardashians, the #belfies, and desire for plastic surgery. Society’s idea of beauty is one that is ever changing, it is impossible to conform to them all. So why do we try?

At the age of 6 I thought I was fat. 6. What six year old thinks they are fat. I thought I wasn’t pretty enough. I wasn’t good enough. At the mere age of 6. Whilst all of my friends were out having fun, eating ice cream, enjoying their childhood, I had the constant voice in my head telling me I wasn’t good enough. This has been an ongoing battle, 13 years on, at the age of 19, it’s still something I battle with everyday. I’ve suffered with various mental health issues, over the past 19 years, but sticking to the topic of beauty. This is when my anxiety and possibly also my  depression comes into play. I used to (and still do on occasion) look in the mirror with disgust. Why don’t I have a tiny waist? Why don’t I have a big bum? Is it okay that I have an athletic figure? Why do I only have AA cup boobs? I’m never going to conform with the beauty standards of 2018. I’m athletic, a competitive runner, and avid gym bunny. No matter how much exercise I undertake, how much I cut my food by, how much make up I apply, how much fake tan I use, lets face it, I’m not going to be the next Kim K.

Throughout my entire childhood, I’ve had the idea of what I should look like forced upon me. It’s estimated we see around 400-600 images a day, whether that be TV ads, magazines, or Social Media. Which leads me onto my next point, before the internet was around, don’t get me wrong, society’s idea of beauty was still forced upon other people. But living in the day of the World Wide Web, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, all of these standards are much readily available. We see them without even realising sometimes. These images that are telling you what ‘perfect‘ is, are the same images that are oppressing women and men for that matter. With airbrushing, skin smoothing, figure altering; these are the images that make us all think we aren’t good enough. They are stripping us of our individual qualities, that make us interesting, that make us beautiful. They are promoting unhealthy, need I mention, unrealistic body standards, making us want to conform and change ourselves. Additionally, it reinforces the fact the sexist views that women are more than our physical attributes. Our beauty is more than just Skin Deep.

I’ve come to accept that I will most likely always struggle with my mental health, particularly when it comes to not feeling good enough. Don’t get me wrong, I no longer dread leaving the house in fear that people will judge me for not being skinny or pretty enough, that is a thing of the past. But that doesn’t stop that niggling thought of self doubt in my mind. Collectively as real women we need to accept we are never going to look like a VS model or a member of the Kardashian family, without body modification such a plastic surgery, that is. We need to learn we are more than our looks, we all have such amazing other qualities, other than our curves or in my case, lack of. We all have the most incredible and individual personalities, our sense of humour, our ability to care for others, to show sympathy, the ability to lift others up, empowering each other, our passion, whether that be in science or clothes, this is what makes us beautiful.

I just wanted to round this post off by posting 2 pictures that I hated of myself when they were first taken. Both taken minutes after completing a 10k race and getting a new PB; I was on could nine. As soon as these pictures were taken, I instantly had a battle with myself, picking out ever single flaw. I thought I looked fat, I didn’t like the way my finger looked, instantly I started to think I wasn’t good enough, again. These pictures both taken of me, probably in the worse state you’ll ever see, sweaty, red, and hair like I’ve been dragged through a bush backwards. But I’m happy. Full of endorphins. Whenever I finish training, or a race, I’m at my happiest. Isn’t that what matters? So who cares if I’m not societies version of perfect?

I challenge you to accept your flaws. The things you don’t like about yourself, but what makes you individual. Whether that be your stretch marks, the birth mark you have but may hate, the visible scar you may have, the face full of freckles – one that took me all my life to accept. Once you see theres more to yourself than the way you look, you’ll be happier than you ever could have imagined.

Han xx

Stocking Filler Gift Ideas

It’s not really Christmas unless you have your stockings awaiting for you on the mantle piece on Christmas morning! It’s always been a bit of a tradition in the Armstrong household. I have 2 younger brothers, and I remember as children, my parents would leave the stockings on our doors. My brothers and I would then all sit in one of our rooms and open them – as we’ve grown older they are now left down stairs to open with the family, but I still get just as excited for them!

In all honestly when I think of stockings, I associate them all being full of chocolates and little nick knacks, however as I have got older they’ve been filled with more ‘useful‘ gifts.

I’ve so far seen a lot of sticking filler gift guides full of expensive gifts, and that’s not what I associate stockings with. So I wanted to create a more realistic and much more affordable Stocking Filler Gift Guide!

One Line A Day Diary – This is possibly one of my favourite stocking fillers. If you’re like me and like to keep track of what you get up to day to day this is the perfect gift for you. It basically does what it says on the tin – it’s a 5 year diary, that allows you to write one line per day. I received one last year and I can’t wait to continue writing in it over the next few years then look back on it at the end!

Bobble Hats – Especially in this weather, it’s an essential! I never really jumped on the hype of bobble hats when they first started cropping up in the shops again, you know the ones with the massive bobbles. That was until I invested in one myself, perfect for the colder weather and a brilliant stocking filler.

Reed Diffuser/Scented Tea Lights – When I moved out one of the things I found really made my flat feel more homely was making it smell like home. So I filled it with reed diffusers (I’m not allowed candles) that reminded me of home. They’re super cheap – Yankee Candle do some lovely stocking filler gift sets at this time of year!

Stocking-Filler-Gift-Guide

Underwear – My Mum is always in charge of stockings, and every year I can expect her to chuck in some nice underwear for me. I’m not sure if this is a bit of a weird one, but I’m always guaranteed to get socks and knickers in my stocking!

Earrings – I’m not talking Tifannys, think more Lovosa 5 for £12. I’m a sucker for a nice set of tassel earrings, and they are great for stockings for her. Highstreet stores like Topshop and NewLook also have some really beautiful statement earrings!

Sweets – Like I said before, you say stockings, I think sweets. I’m 19 and I still get sweets in my stocking, it’s a given really. I’m a sucker for white chocolate, so giant white buttons normally always make an appearance in my stocking!

Mini Beauty Gift SetsBoot’s 3 for 2 is the perfect deal for mini stocking fillers, they tend to have a lot of gifts that are mini versions of things that may be more expensive. Soap and Glory Mini Sets and the Ted Baker Mini Sets are my personal 2 favourites!

Mugs – Again, much like the sweets, mugs are an easy and typical stocking filler. Another gift that you cant really go wrong with!

Stockings are a tradition that I love and one that I will definitely keep up one day when I have my own family!

What are your top stocking fillers?

All my love,

Han xx

Festive Gingerbread Cupcakes

Festive Gingerbread Cupcakes

Blogmas is well and truly underway now, we’re 5 days in and only 20 days away from the big day. I REPEAT WE ARE ONLY 20 DAYS AWAY FROM CHRISTMAS!! I’m still in denial that we are already in December, but I really should get out of that mind set and probably start wrapping some presents soon.

The smell of gingerbread is always one that I will associate with the festive period, there’s definitely something kind of nostalgic about the smell. In true Christmas style, for todays Blogmas post I’ve got the ultimate Gingerbread Cupcake recipe; topped with mini gingerbread men, cinnamon flavoured icing and a sprinkle of honeycomb – basically a cupcake recipe with anything remotely festive thrown in!

December is a crazy month for us all so finding the time to bake can be tricky, but there’s something about baking festive treats that really takes me back to my childhood, so it’s always nice to squeeze in some festive bakes whilst I’m back from university. I remember so clearly baking ginger biscuits with my Dad around Christmas time, we had perfected the best ginger biscuit recipe, that I’m pretty sure I could dig out from somewhere. What better way to kick off a few baking posts with a gingerbread themed one, of course cupcakes, whats not to like!

So I actually found this recipe from the Good Food Channel, and I can hands down say that it is one you all need to try! One that that couldn’t not share with you all! Let’s cut the rambling and get straight on with this mouth watering recipe!

Cupcakes2

For the cupcakes:

  • 150 g butter, room temperature
  • 150 g soft brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp milk

For the frosting:

  • 200 g butter, at room temperature
  • 50 g soft brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 200 g icing sugar
  • Pinch ground cinnamon

Cupcakes1

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan/ gas 4.

2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Sift the flour together with the spices.

3. Gradually mix the eggs into the creamed butter and sugar alternating with the flour to stop the mix from curdling. Finally, stir through the milk.

4. Place 12 paper cupcake cases into a muffin tin and divide the mixture between them.

5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and springy to the touch. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack.

6. For the frosting: while the cupcakes are cooking place 50 grams of the butter in a pan with the brown sugar and cook over a low heat until melted. Add 2 tablespoons of the milk and stir to form a thick glossy toffee sauce. Leave to one side to cool to room temperature.

7. In a large mixing bowl beat the butter until smooth, then start to sift in the icing sugar, stirring regularly. Add the toffee sauce and stir until thoroughly incorporated. Add a splash more of milk if the mixture seems too thick – the frosting should be light and creamy.

8. Put the frosting in a piping bag and pipe onto the cupcakes. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon before serving.

9. To decorate: I couldn’t resist getting a bit creative with the decorating of the cupcakes. I picked up these super cute mini gingerbread men that look absolutely adorable on top of the cupcakes. Honeycomb is another flavour I associate with Christmas, one that I also think goes particularly well with gingerbread. So I have crushed up a crunchy bar and sprinkled on top for that extra festive touch. If you’re feeling extra Mary Berry, you can make your own honeycomb for this step!

Cupcakes3

For a first try at this recipe, I think I did a pretty good job of it! It was a very easy one to follow and I managed to not burn them, nor did I give anyone food poisoning, thats a good thing right?! I also couldn’t resist the festive cupcake cases, I really didn’t need to spend £5 on cases that I will only ever get out of the cupboard once a year, but they were too pretty to say no to!

What’s your favourite baking recipe around the festive period?!

All my love,

Han xx

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

Christmas Gift Guide For Her

It’s got to that time of year where gift guides for him, for her, for the neighbours,  for the post man and for Sally from HR are cropping up left, right and centre. Literally my timeline is full of them, but I’m not mad about it because I bloomin love them. If ever I’m stuck on gift ideas, I can guarantee one of my blogger pals will have a post to sort me right out. I keep saying this, but I can’t believe how quickly Christmas has rolled round again this year, it feels like only last week I was writing my 2017 version of this!

I hope this is a useful post for anyone struggling with gift ideas for her this year – females are hard to shop for, but we’re no where near as hard to shop for as men!

Beauty:

Beauty

Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette: This is my all time favourite palette, but the UD Naked collection has a palette tailored to pretty much anyone and everyones make up style. The Naked 3 has a beautiful array of natural pinks and browns, perfect for those who take a slightly more subtle approach to make up.

Alien Perfume: I’m super picky when it comes to perfume, which meant that when it came to writing this post I pretty much only had one that without fail would make it onto the gift guide and that is Alien by MUGLER. This is hands down my favourite scent ever, alongside this if you’re looking for a slightly more upper market perfume, of course, I would recommend the Paco Rabanne Lady Million, a classic!

Body Shop Gift Sets: Which woman doesn’t love a good bath and body gift set. Body Shop is always my go to for beauty gift sets, they always have such a wide selection, in a huge range of prices to suit everyones budget. The Body Shop never fail to disappoint on scent either, I’ve been loving the new festive Peppermint scent, it’s giving me all of the festive vibes!

Liz Earl Gift Set: Again much like the Body Shop, I don’t know who wouldn’t want to wake up to this gift set on Christmas morning. Liz Earl, again has a wide array of gift set selections, slightly more pricy, but well worth it. The products are absolutely fantastic, and last such a long time!

Real Techniques Make Up Brushes: I’m one of those girls that really doesn’t wear that much make up at all, however this doesn’t stop me from wanting to have pretty make up brushes. There are so many out there, I went with the typical Real Techniques Metallic Collection here, however, places like Spectrum also have some beautiful brush sets that would make wonderful gifts this Christmas!

Fashion & Accessories:

Fashion.gif

Daniel Wellington Watch: Daniel Wellington is hands down my favourite watch company and I can assure you anyone who opens one of these on Christmas Day will be very happy. They have a beautiful selection of watches, ranging from very minimal designs to something a bit more glamorous. There really is a design for everyone here!

Tiffany Earrings: A very typical girly gift, nonetheless a gift that is very special. Tiffany always have beautiful pieces of jewellery anyway, their basic heart earrings are some of my favourites from their original range and would make a perfect gift for that special someone!

Louis Vuitton Handbag: If you’re shopping for someone who is a bit of a handbag whore like myself, I can guarantee this is the gift for them. A bag that literally will go with anything and everything, also something that they probably won’t be taking off for a long time!

Victoria Secret Pyjamas: Alongside Anne Summers, Victoria Secret is the perfect place to get some slightly more ‘nicer‘ pyjamas, and lets face it you cant go wrong with pyjamas as gifts, can you?! My personal favourites would have to be the classic pink and white long-sleeved pyjama set. I also love the black satin dressing gown, although when it comes to dressing gowns I’m all about the warmth, and I don’t think this would keep me warm, however good I look in it!

Candles: This doesn’t class as fashion or beauty so I’ll just add it to the end of my gift guide. Much like the pyjamas you can’t go wrong with candles, Yankee Candles always have lovely gift sets and deals around this time of year, and with hundreds of scents theres something to suit everyones taste!

I’ve really enjoyed writing this post and I hope it has given you all some ideas if you needed them! I get so excited when it comes to shopping for other people around this time of year! I think you can definitely expect to see some more of these gift guide type posts from me throughout Blogmas!

All my love,

Han xx

Christmas Wishlist 2018

I mean it wouldn’t really be Blogmas if I didn’t have the traditional Christmas wish list post thrown in here! I feel like everyone says this to sound like a good person, but I’m genuinely one of those people that prefers giving other people gifts rather than receiving them. I get so excited wrapping them all up, and watching their reaction when they open it, especially when I’ve put a lot of thought into their gifts!

However, I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a few bits and bobs I’m hoping for Santa to bring me this year! In all honesty, a lot of the bits on my Wishlist are clothes, but being a fashion student, I think thats allowed..right? Also, most of it is from PLT, sponsor me pls xx

Anyway, I’ve broken it up into shop categories as that was just the easiest way around it. Like I mentioned most of the stuff that I was after is from PLT, so we’ll start with them!

PLTMood

As you can see, I’m still all over that leopard print trend, however the culottes are a bit out of my comfort zone and maybe I’m just kidding myself thinking I’m cool enough to pull them off?? Also can we just talk about how bloomin’ dreamy that pink trucker jacket is, it’s giving me all the Barbie vibes – can you imagine the outfits with this! A slightly random add on their too is the Paris slogan tee. In all honestly I never really jumped onto the slogan tee trend, but when I saw this I thought it would be perfect to take with me on my trip to Paris next year! Yes, yes I am already outfit planning for a trip I’m going on next February, sorry not sorry.

Moving onto River Island, which we all know is my favourite high street brand ever – I just don’t often have the budget to treat myself to the bits in there! However, it’s become a bit of a tradition for me to ask for a nice coat at Christmas, so of course this year was no different. Shock, it’s red. I’ve been loving the fleecy/teddy bear looking coats that everyone and their Grandma seems to be wearing at the moment, so when I saw this I just had to add it to my Wishlist! Alongside this, I’ve said it before in blog posts, and I’ll say it again, River Island are the best, and I mean the best for boots. I’ve been after a pair of nice white boots for the longest time now, however I’m incredibly picky, which as a result, I was yet to find a pair I really loved. That is until, I stumbled across these beauties, which again IMAGINE HOW COOL THEY WILL LOOK!!

White Boots: https://www.riverisland.com/p/white-pointed-block-heel-boots-721059

Lastly, I treated myself to a FitBit watch at the start of the year, and being a competitive runner, it has been one of the best investments – it also never leaves my wrist. FitBits actually have interchangeable straps; as much as I love my dusty pink strap it definitely  has seen better days, so I have added a few straps onto my Wishlist also. I particularly like the Rose Gold strap because as much as I love my FitBit, occasionally I do miss having a bit more of a glitzy watch on my wrist (I used to wear my Daniel Wellington religiously before this). When I found out that you could get straps that were a bit more girly and flash, I got very excited to say the least!

Rose Gold Strap:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fitbit-BeneStellar-Milanese-Stainless-Replacement/dp/B072PJPYTG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1543058608&sr=8-5&keywords=Fitbit+alta+hr+straps

Grey Strap: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SnowCinda-Silicone-Adjustable-Accessory-Replacement/dp/B072BJQWZR/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1543058608&sr=8-4&keywords=Fitbit%2Balta%2Bhr%2Bstraps&th=1

So that concludes my Christmas Wishlist this year, admittedly there isn’t anything too exciting on there, but they are bits that I have had my eye on for a while!

What have you asked for this year?!

All my love,

Han xx
