2020, a New Year…and a New Decade.
I love the New Year, there’s something about a fresh start which brings so much excitement for the future. However, the new year can also bring a lot of pressure. The pressure to be a better version of yourself and the pressure to stick to resolutions. This year, I’m making the effort to not get overwhelmed by this.
Here are some of the things that are on my list of resolutions, but that I’m not pressurising myself to meet. If I meet them great! But if not, it isn’t the end of the world and I’m no less of a person.
Throughout the last year my blog has kind of been an all or nothing platform, throughout the next year I want to endeavour to get up at least one post a week and rekindle my love for writing.
Instagram is one of those platforms which I currently have a live hate relationship with, however I do enjoy posting on it. I think it’s easy to get sucked into the Instagram trap of getting so hooked up on your feed that we start to loose site of what the platform is really about. Which means this year I won’t be falling into that trap, meaning I’ll be making a conscious effort to post what makes me happy!
Travelling as a student is hard, money is tight, but even if it just weekend breaks in the UK, I really want to see more outside the constraints of Brighton. Hopefully a couple of hot holidays and a few long weekends too!
I seem to be one of those people that always stresses about something and it drives me mad. This year I’m making a conscious effort to not stress over anything irrelevant. When it do stress it really consumes me and I don’t like the person it turns me into and if that isn’t a good enough reason, I don’t know what is!
Last year I completed my first half marathon, a massive achievement, this year I would love to run a few more whilst working on getting my race times down too!
What are your goals for 2020?!
