You know that post last week where I said I wanted to be more sustainable? We’ll I hold my hands up to owning pieces that I’ve barely touched since I bought them, however, since writing that post I’ve been rigorously outfit planning with said pieces that don’t get worn, so that they get used…finally!
Starting with a classic checkered blazer that I bought heading on for a year ago now; I wish I was joking when I said that I can count the times I’ve worn this on one hand!
Picked up in Bershka early last spring, there’s no better combo than a classic blazer and jeans! I’ve seen plenty of bloggers rocking this look lately, and with it being so effortlessly cool and easy whats not to love!
Most of my week is spent to-ing and fro-ing from university, so when it comes to fashion I tend to reach for something easy, with a blazer being the perfect answer to this. With spring fast approaching, blazers are the perfect transitional piece from the cooler months into the warmer ones and look effortlessly stylish – easy to dress up or down too!
Here are my 4 favourite ways to style the classic blazer!
Effortlessly Cool and Casual
This is often my go to look as it really doesn’t require much thought at all – great for popping into university, or coffee with the girls. Pairing the blazer with a graphic band tee (which I’m starting to accumulate too many of!), alongside skinny jeans, normally reaching for my trusty Molly Jeans from RI and flats; either my Doc Martens or trainers, depending on how I’m feeling!
When storm Hannah has surpassed, I’m hoping the weather picks up slightly so I don’t have to layer up so much and can start to style the blazer a bit more summery. Opting to pair the blazer with a cute denim skirt, plain white tee, and heeled boots (a must have throughout any season)!
The blazer that I own has a pop of pink in it, anyone who knows me will know that I love a bit of pink! So this blazer is perfect for a slightly girlier style. Paired with a lace body suit, ripped jeans and heeled boots, or sandals once it’s sandal weather again!
My final look, is of course a more dressed up look, much like the everyday girly look, but chucking on a pair of ankle strap heels for a classier, dressier vibe! A really versatile look if you’re going from work to a date night!
I hope you enjoyed this post pulling together all of my favourite ways of styling a blazer! I’ve been particularly enjoying styling this lately and hope to be getting a lot more wear out of it this year!
All my love,
