I’ve always taken care of my skin from a very young age, I think I have my Mum to thank for this, as being an ex Body Shop employee she always had skincare products lying around the house, and I always used them. Skincare is so important, because at the end of the day, the more you look after it while you’re young, the better it will look as you age.
Like I have previously mentioned, I do have very sensitive skin, resulting in me having to be really careful when it comes to what products I use, I tend to go for very natural products that have as few ingredients as possible.
I always start of my morning skincare routine by washing my face with the Clean and Clear Advantage Clear and Soothe Daily Scrub. This never fails to wake me up, being a scrub it contains micro-beads that leave my skin-feeling super soft, which is exactly why I love it.
I then proceed to apply a serum; I tend to mix between a couple of serums, either the Body Shop Vitamin E serum, as this is very kind and gentle on my sensitive skin. Or recently I have really been enjoying the Skinkissed Hydrating Serum. Serums aren’t necessarily an essential, but I do find that it helps to work it conjunction with my moisturizer at keeping my skin feeling hydrated all day.
Moisturiser is the next step. My holy grail moisturizer has to be the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Moisturizer. Simple products are always a staple in my skincare routines, both morning and night, as they are made with out any artificial perfumes and colorings, these being the things that I tend to have to avoid with products, which is exactly why Simple skincare products work so well for me. This moisturizer also keeps my skin hydrated all day, which can sometimes be a struggle when you suffer with dry and sensitive skin, like myself.
Eye cream is next. Admittedly I don’t always use an eye cream, but when I do I tend to reach for the Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream. I find this really helps to wake me up, also helps to reduce puffiness around the eyes. If this is something that you suffer with, try to get your hands on this stuff, as I promise you wont regret it.
The last step in my skincare routine is to apply a facial primer before moving onto make up. A new purchase that I have recently been enjoying is the Wonderland Studio Finish Primer. I find that this is very gentle on my skin and also the perfect base to then apply make up on top of.
I tend to keep my morning skincare routine fairly quick and simple, as I am sure like may other people, have a very busy schedule, but know how important it is to take care of your skin. I do often spend more time on my skincare in the evening, so I am sure that an evening skin care routine will be up on my blog soon also.
All my love,
